Svaneti is a mountain region of Georgia, located in the Northwest of the country. Here are made the ascent to such famous mountains as Shkhara, Ushba, Tetnuld and other peaks of the Main Caucasian Ridge. Also in the world Svaneti is known forarchitectural structures “Svan towers” – a residential tower, built mainly in the period from IX to XII centuries. Region is interesting variety of terrain: snow-capped peaks, alpine flower meadows, gorges with steep cliffs and river valleys, talus slopes, pine and deciduous forests. Tracking in Svaneti manages to cover all these beauties in one short trip! We invite you to make a hike through the region with a guide. This is a simple, interesting and very beautiful passage in the mountains of Georgia, from one region to another. In this hike we will see not only Chaukhi mountain range with Abudelaurskimi lakes, but also visit one of the oldest settlements – Shatili. This single complex has a plenty of towers and performs the function of a defensive fort right on the mountainside. The path to this historic monument lies trough few passes and mountain valleys. Heights of the route: from 1500 to 3300 meters above sea level. Tetnuldi is the summit, located on the spur of the Main Caucasus Range (Upper Svaneti, Georgia). 2B route (in Russian classification) is the classical ascending route on mount Tetnuldi. It takes 6-7 days including acclimatisation days and reserve day in case of a bad weather. WildGuru guides offer you to climb the mount Tetnuldi together!
