Kazbek is a 5054 meters high mountain in the central Caucasus. It is a dormant volcano that last erupted in 650 b.c. and it is standing right on Russian-Georgian board.
Mountaineering is possible from both countries; the easiest way is from Russian side and has a 2B difficulty, from Georgian – 2A. Ascensions are possible al the year round, but obviously summer is the best time. You can read detailed description in our article. Price: 450 euro
Price includes:

Program of Kazbek ascention
Day 1. Meeting at Tbilisi, transfer to Stepantsminda. Dinner and some sightseeing during the road. Arriving in Stepantsminda (1750м), accommodation in guesthouse. Checking and packing backpacks.
Day 2. Breakfast, driving to Gergetti church (2200 m) via 4wd car. This is the beginning if the route. Moving through the mountain trail to the «Zelenye Nochevki» (3000m). There we set up a camp, have a rest and some snacks. After we make an acclimatization hike to 3250m. Then we return back, have supper and rest.
Day 3. Breakfast, camp gathering and crossing over the Gergeti Glacier to Betlemi Hut (3650 m). Setting up the camp, snack and rest. Acclimatization hike to 3900 m. Return to the camp, supper.
Day 4. The transition from a weather station to the height of 3900 meters, setting up the summit camp. Trip to glacier, snow and ice training and acclimatization hike to 4200-4500. Return to the camp and prepare for an early start.
Day 5. Early rise. Climbing Kazbek (5034 m). The descent into the summit camp. The subsequent descent to the «Zelenye Nochevki» (3000 m). Upon request, the descent into Stepantsminda and drive to Gudauri / Tbilisi.
Day 6. Reserve day in case of bad weather.
